On requesting me to research your family for you I will take the information that you know and will go through the General Register Office's records to confirm that this information is correct.

I will then be in a position to start delving back in time for you. I utilise all forms of documentation when researching your family history for you. Census returns form a large part of my initial research as these are very useful to work out where people were living, their occupation, approximate age and whether they were married and had any children.
On discovering your ancestors in the census records I then look up their birth, marriage and if applicable their death record and you will be provided with these references as part of your finished book allowing you to order any certificates that you desire to add further detail to your research.
Once I have reached the 1841 census I will then turn my attention to parish records to delve further back. I cannot guarantee once I reach this point what success I will have in going much further back. This will depend upon factors such as how common your family name is and where they were residing at the time.
Besides from these I will also look to see if any of your relatives appear in any military, migration, probate, apprenticeship, and other documents to add a fuller picture of your family to your research.
All of your findings will be printed and bound depending on the level of service and package that you commission me to complete for you.
